Cash Game Festival Tallinn Begins in Two Days!
June 10, 2019Ivan Tang Wins Second Feature Table on Day 2
June 14, 2019The Cash Game Festival Tallinn kicked off the first of its five opening days with a big bang at Olympic Park Casino.
It all began with dozens of players, including many that qualified to the festival via our friends at the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN), gathering on the Hilton terrace for welcome drinks.
Not too long later, the casino began to get busy with action with tables running through the night including a hold’em table that is still running with some player putting in a more than a 24-hour session.
Ivan Tang Wins First Feature Table
The first feature table with stakes at €1/€2 NLHE kicked off shortly after 7:30 p.m. EEST with CGF Commentator George Sandford hosting the action to our viewers on the Cash Game Festival Twitch Channel starting at 8 p.m.
MPN was represented at the table with betsafe Poker Manager Eduards Marmurs and Cash Game Festival Wired winner Edgars Armans, who has been to many festivals over the years. The table featured other familiar names including Tauri Taimre, Jaana Kindsigo, and Rainer Laar. Netherlands’ Mathijs Rust, who now lives in Estonia, made his first appearance at a Cash Game Festival in style by joining this crew.
Meanwhile, Hong Kong’s Sum Yip and Ivan Tang (pictured below) made the trip from their home in London to join the Cash Game Festival. Although the festival has been to London many times, this is their first festival as they were looking for a poker vacation that suited their lifestyles.
The duo wasn’t afraid to battle against each other at the table with Ivan eventually winning a big pot against his friend. He parlayed this into a profit of €499 or 249.5 big blinds, which was good enough to be the biggest winner on the table!
Rikard Relander Wins Even More at the PLO Feature Table
After a short break, the t.v. table action changed to €2/€2 PLO featuring an action-packed line-up.
Edgars Armans, who was also at the feature table, was joined by fellow MPN qualifier Ivan Prokop. The most esteemed footballer of all time in Estonian history Joel Lindpere (pictured below) joined in on the fun along with three-time CGF trophy winner Kevin Malone, two-time winner and CGF Co-Founder Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk, Finland’s Ville Saari, and Sweden’s Conny Eriksson.
However, it was Cash Game Festival veteran Rikard Relander (lead image) outshining them all after he won big win of €1,478 or 739 big blinds.
The amount of big blinds is important as the player that wins the biggest amount of big blinds at any of our ten feature tables this festival will be declared the CGF Tallinn champion and honored with a trophy and a package to our next festival at Platinum Casino in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria on Aug. 7-11.
What’s on Tap for Day 2?
Players with the hospitality package, including our VIP guests from MPN, started today’s second day in style with an all-expense paid trip to one of Tallinn’s best spas. Players will enjoy whirlpools, saunas, hot tubs, swimming pools, massages, and more while also, of course, enjoying a wide selection of beverages and snacks.
The action in the casino will be even hotter than that of the sauna. In addition to the plethora of action on the side tables, today will feature a €2/€2 NLHE feature table followed by a €2/€5 PLO feature table.
Check out our Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube to follow the action close and personal. And, of course, don’t forget to tune into our Twitch stream to watch what promises to be some fun action at both of our t.v. tables starting at 8 p.m. EEST/6 p.m. GMT.
