Nuit de poker n°3 à Tallinn – Table TV spécial fille et dîner pour 50
November 18, 2017Fête du poker, c’est le week end! | Cash Game Festival
November 19, 2017Exactly! At the Cash Game Festival we do believe that a good round of poker, especially Sviten Special, on the late Saturday afternoon helps to loosen up and prepare for a night out. The CGF project manager Andro Loos and Betsafe‘s Poker Manager Enri Orav did just that – got ready for the Saturday’s VIP party by playing cards.
Namely, among other poker tables at the casino was a Sviten table that had kicked off well before the beginning of the first Twitch feature table. The game was also joined by the CGF Sviten veteran from Sweden – Peter La Terra and NordicBet‘s Poker Manager Jostein Grødum. These guys are the CGF’s Sviten army, so if you ever feel like discussing the theory of the game, buy them a beer and start the conversation. Another person with whom to discuss the topic is Pokernews‘ Jason Glatzer. He knows all there is to know about poker, never shying away from a good converse unless, of course, he is writing. But when you try to discuss theory with Franke, he will take you straight to a table and SHOW YOU how Sviten is really played. So, there you have it – theory and practice; all at one festival.
The first TV table of the day, €2/€2 hold’em kicked off at 5:30PM. In seat #6 was Betsafe’s Tanel Lepp aka HDTanel. A popular Estonian Youtuber, he does not need a long introduction to e-game fans as he became “famous for gaming entertainment videos” as he put it. He started playing poker at the age of 11, his favorite hand is AA and our TV table was his first ever televised poker experience. He promised to be back at the CGF in 2018 because he loved the atmosphere of the festival, feeling welcome and getting friendly vibes from everybody the moment he walked in. Talking about the nice atmosphere. Indeed, the CGF is the perfect venue for recreational players – walk in, have a chat, play some cards. Super!
The second TV table of €5/€10 hold’em started 8:30PM at the casino. In seat #3 was the Estonian player Kaido Mikk who, on Friday, had won the Cash Game Festival’s full package to London stop on January 3rd-7th. He was probably just warming up for London.
Despite making decent a profit at the feature table, neither Dušan Hájek nor NordicBet’s Jon Kyte were able to win enough big blinds to be in the run for our TV table trophy. Today, on Sunday, it all can change because Norway’s Kyte and Ireland’s Kevin Malone will appear at the feature table together. It remains to be seen whether either of them can beat the first day’s big blinds’ record. The trophy will be given to its rightful owner at around midnight, right after the last TV table session.
Off the feature table, the casino was buzzing with poker all evening. There were about 10 tables running when a bunch of CGF players and Partner qualifiers left for the VIP party at the Old Town’s night club Vabank. The party it-self was great with plenty of drinks and dancing. One must say, that Betsson‘s Poker Manager Marika Nowak was one of the best dancers last night. She loves dancing and has a ton of energy to show some good moves. Props to you, Marika! You being in Tallinn with us is very much appreciated.
Today, at the CGF’s final lucky draw, we will find out the next winners of our London packages. Stay tuned! Even better, come to the Olympic Park Casino tonight and find out if you get to go to London with us. What’s in the package?
- hotel for 2 (5 nights)
- hospitality packages for 2 (5 days)
- £500 stake money for our TV table
Welcome, welcome!
Love,
