Poker et Art – CGF Tallinn Jour 2 – Photos exclusives, poker et plus …
November 17, 2017Nuit de poker n°3 à Tallinn – Table TV spécial fille et dîner pour 50
November 18, 2017Day 3 in Tallinn was nothing but excellent. We hosted the Cash Game Festival’s first ever ladies special TV table, took 50 persons out to our VIP dinner and played poker all night! We even had 2 Sviten Special tables running till dawn. Thank you all for making the Friday in Tallinn very special!
Last night, we were truly blessed for having 8 smart and talented poker ladies playing at our live €2/€2 hold’em Twitch feature table. This is the first time that we were able to put together such an awesome live game. We are definitely planning to do more TV table specials as this adds variety and fun to the whole festival’s atmosphere. Big thanks to Katti Kippasto, Christin Mäemets, Carmen-Elina Vist, Betsafe’s Monika Zukowicz, Coolbet’s Evely Ventsli, Maret Komarova, Beth Cape & Katerina Minho for spicing up the Friday night with some girl power poker! We think that the poker world has never seen so much beauty at a hold’em table before.
TV Table Talk
Which lady made the most profit? Estonia’s Maret Komarova was the biggest winner at the first feature table, shipping €594 in profit. Congratulations! In 2016, Maret was a regular at Cash Game Festival live events. However, this Tallinn stop was her first in 2017. Originally from the small Estonia’s town of Viljandi, she is now residing in Tallinn. Maret is not new to international experience either, having studied psychology at Brigham Young University in Utah, US. Moreover, besides poker, she knows her tennis well. What can we say? Maret is a wonderful and talented person.
While the VIP dinner was on, €5/€10 hold’em feature table started back at the casino. Since our commentator, Scotland’s Andrew “Picasso” Hedley, wanted to join the live action & show his poker community friends how the game is played, Pokernews‘ reporter Jason Glatzer had no choice but to jump straight to the commentator booth. However, having done live commentary before, this was not a burden for Jason but a welcome break from his usual Cash Game Festival reporting routine. Our Twitch viewers enjoy his in-depth analysis of the game. Having been in the industry for an impressive amount of years, Jason knows almost all there is to know about poker. Truly grateful to have Jason in the Cash Game Festival family.
So, how did Andrew do in his live feat? Rather well. He was not the biggest winner but managed to ship a nice profit of €1320. Viacheslav Kovalev, however, made an even more decent profit of €1716. Good job, boys!
What Else?
Last night’s hospitality event was the VIP dinner at a beautiful IO Restaurant. Our main task before the lovely evening was getting 50 people to the restaurant by taxi. Easy done because the Cash Game Festival’s Project Manager Andro Loos has gotten a lot of experience in CGF logistics over the years. So, everybody arrived safely and on time.
The dinner it-self was memorable. We were hosting our Partners & their qualifiers and the players who had either won or purchased our Tallinn hospitality package. The room was filled with laughter, the food was delicious (and healthy), the restaurant’s atmosphere was amazing and the staff super friendly. What more can we expect from a night out with food and drinks? Well, maybe add some whiskey and Irish lads to the mix, and you will get even more fun and some online horse betting as well. Indeed, we are talking about Kevin Malone and his friends. Irish lads at a dinner party is like a cherry on top of a cake. Thank you for making the evening super fun for many!
Last night we also learned that our day 1 art class impressed the Polish poker pro and Betsafe’s ambassador Monika so much that she is considering taking art classes in the future. Glad to hear that the Cash Game Festival has such positive impact on people’s future plans. Promise that you will give your first drawing to us, so that we can hang it up on our office wall? Deal?
For UK’s Beth, day 2 ended and day 3 began at the Olympic Park Casino. Having traveled to the festival with his boyfriend Jonathan Bowers, they are very supportive of each other’s poker journey. So, when Jonathan decided to pull an all-nighter at the casino, Beth stayed with him till 8 AM, curling up on the chair next to him under her warm scarf and even falling asleep. Seems that a nap in the casino can be as refreshing as in a comfy bed because she did not look a single bit tired yesterday. Go, poker couples!
The Netherlan’d Jeffrey also had a long poker night. Having played till dawn, he went straight from the casino to Hilton breakfast area and enjoyed a huge pile of tiny & tasty pancakes. He told us that he had witnessed a punch of NordicBet players doing the same. Those Cash Game Festival poker breakfasts – legendary!
Next Stop
Surprise, surprise, our next stop will be London on January 3rd-7th at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City. Yesterday, at 7 PM we got ourselves first package winners of 2018 stops. Estonia’s Katja Minho and Kaido Mikk were the lucky winners of the Cash Game Festival London draw. Collect them tickets by playing poker with us and you may win a package too at the next draw that takes place on Sunday here in Tallinn. Good luck & welcome!
Love,
