Next Stop Malta June 14th 18th – the Cash Game Festival’s Grand Return
May 29, 2017Wow, We Are Going to Minsk in July!
June 5, 2017We have learned that Norwegians love poker, also cash games. They travel for good cash games due to the fact that gambling is greatly restricted by the Norwegian Government. Therefore, we truly hope that Norwegian poker players find their way to the Cash Game Festival as well. We are especially hoping to see them at our London stops as they tend to travel to London for cash games anyway. Moreover, we have heard from a reliable source that Norwegian players do enjoy the social aspect of poker as well. The reliable source is Kjetil Flåten (in the photo) from Norskpoker.com.
Norskpoker.com is our media partner from Norway. Kjetil, also a Vice President of the Norwegian Poker Federation, has become a very nice addition to Cash Game Festival’s now European-wide family. He visited us at Gibraltar stop just few weeks ago and enjoyed the festival very much.
We would like to introduce you Norskpoker.com and Kjetil. We asked him some simple questions about the site and himself.
Would you tell us more about Norskpoker.com?
Norskpoker.com was launched during November 2016, just in time for the Norwegian Championships in Oslo, and has been growing ever since.
We are the best site for poker-related information in Norway with daily news, articles, podcasts, blogs, deals and exclusive offers and tournaments.
We provide news and results from all the biggest tournaments online, and most of the biggest live tournaments. Norwegian players are our target, but we also cover the big international names.
The blog section is open for everyone, and we welcome new bloggers with open arms!
What is your first impression of the Cash Game Festival?
I am looking forward to promoting the Cash Game Festival, and hopefully lots of Norwegians will go to the festivals in the future! They should, because this is an amazing event!
Would you tell us a bit more about yourself?
My name is Kjetil Flåten, I am the editor for Norskpoker.com. I have been in the poker environment for almost 15 years now, with different roles.
These days I work as a commentator for Norwegian TV from the big tournament broadcasts, as well as doing all the podcasts we have on our site, and all the daily news and articles. I used to work for Amaya (PokerStars) for some years, until last year, but now I’m back at doing what I like the most: writing about poker and traveling around to cool events like the Cash Game Festival!
You can follow them on Facebook and Twitter in case you happen to speak some Norwegian, or just give them an encouraging like.
Yours,
The Cash Game Festival Team
