The Cash Game Festival veteran shared with us a bit about himself along with his thoughts about both the live and online Cash Game Festivals.
What is your Cash Game Festival Destination?
Malta was my favorite Cash Game Festival destination. The weather was so beautiful and the atmosphere was amazing! The poker was really good and I enjoyed the new casino that we played at. The hospitality package was really great there also. We enjoyed a really nice Brazilian dinner and Catamaran ride was stunning. I definitely want to go back and visit again.
What was your best Cash Game Festival experience?
My best CGF experience was the catamaran ride in Malta. I have never seen such crystal blue water while we were on the ride! The scenery was breathtaking and people were amazing. I will definitely never forget that trip.
What is your dream Cash Game Festival destination?
My dream destination for the Cash Game Festival would be a Spain! I absolutely love that country. It’s by far the best place I have been on holiday. The country is very warm and has beautiful women/ beaches everywhere! Also it kind of helps that I speak Spanish, but I would love to go there for a Cash Game Festival.
What is your poker history and do you prefer live or online poker?
I have played live poker for about two years now, but only online for six months. I enjoy live poker way more and I feel I do better live as well. I love the interaction with other players and the casino vibe. Online on the other hand is nice that you are able to play more tables and hands. It also can be done in the comfort of your own home and there’s no need to travel to a casino or anywhere. Maybe I will warm up to online with more time, but for now I definitely enjoy live a lot more.
What are your expectations for the first-ever Cash Game Festival Online?
My expectations are really high for the Cash Game Festival Online. I’m super excited to stream during the event. I do stream a little bit in my spare time so I’m definitely looking forward to it. I think streaming poker helps new players a lot and brings a different perspective to the game also.
What stakes do you plan on playing during the Cash Game Festival Online?
I plan to play €0.50/€1 or €1/€2 for my stakes on CGF Online. I really want the content to be good for the viewers and also to be very interactive with them. I don’t think I will play more than 2 tables so I can keep my focus on the stream.
What do you enjoy outside of poker?
Outside of poker I like to travel and also enjoy playing other card games also. I used to play Magic the Gathering for several years and I also grind Hearthstone. I do play quite a plethora of PC games that involve strategy and skill. I also like to travel to a different country every month and really get out and explore the world. There is so much to see and incredible people too meet.
Are you a bigger fish than Cash Game Festival co-founder Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk?
I don’t think I’m a bigger fish than Franke. He definitely makes some crazy plays and I don’t think I could ever pull the trigger like he can (haha). I can say though he is one of my favorite players to sit with at a table!
Do you plan to move to Italy with Janar Kokk who lost a heads-up prop bet to Franke?
I hope I am able to move to Italy. I have to get things worked out with my job first but if things go the way as planned then I will definitely be there. The people that are moving to Italy are some that I’ve become very close with and I am very grateful to have this opportunity.
