June 6, 2016Coup d’envoi du Cash Game Festival de Malte!
June 8, 2016Yes. This is going to be quite an update for all of our readers. I have just arrived to Malta myself and what is better than kicking it off with a couple of pictures from the build up around the event:
To get even more in the mood we would like to kick of everything with a small interview with poker manager at Casino Malta, Roman Gabriel.
Q: Hi Roman, good to see you again. Is it possible that you could introduce yourself for our readers?
A: I come from Slovakia and got in touch with the game of poker back in Holland in 2007. I started my career there before going back to UK where I lived at the moment. I’ve been in the gaming industry for basically 17 years now. I knew for a fact that this bransch would make me go abroad although the only barrier was the language back then but that has been solved now.
Q: What is your expectations on the upcoming event on Cash Game Festival Malta?
A: I expect that we establish a good relation between the casino on one hand and with Cash Game Festival and their partners on the other hand. It would be great if we could take this to another level and also make even more frequent festivals at the casino. The concept is great and we have the establishment to provide a successful event and I have the feeling this will be great.
Q: Do you think the concept of Cash Games has been missed out on the market during your active year?
A: Yes. The casinos usually don’t focus on poker players because it’s not their main source of income. Due to that poker players are treated as with less value than the regular table games player and unfortunately that gives some marks. I think this is a fantastic concept and I see it a little bit like “Hop-on-hop-off”-sightseeing bus. Come and go as you would like to.
Q: If we speak in terms of success, what would you consider being a successful event for this week?
A: First of all I don’t wanna speak about digits or revenue in any case. Success is when after the events hands are shaken, a tap on the shoulder and everyone involved feels like they have done a great work and are satisfied with the outcome. The positive feedback from the guests are the most important part of it and will be main focus to bring a successful event.
Q: Finally, if you could wish for anything in the world right now, what would it be?
A: That Zlatan Ibrahimovic signs a contract with Arsenal since he is a free agent now. (Lol, as if that will happens, reds. note).
Thank you Roman, we are really looking forward for the event. Time to hit the tables and yes, soon soon there will be shuffle up and deal – so exciting!
Until tomorrow,
