February 15, 2016What is Cash Game Festival you might think…. In today’s poker community most of the focus has been on the tournament circuits. Still the majority of poker players are leisure oriented Cash Game players that prefer to play a few hours of poker without the need to dedicate several days for their favourite past time activity.
The creation of the Festival dates back to 2014 when Poker Icons’ Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk and Professional Poker Player Enri Orav joined forces and hosted the first 5 day festival at Olympic Casino in Tallinn Estonia. The reception in the poker community and for business men in the area was fantastic and basically a game changer to the industry was born.
In 2015, the organisers refined the concept and hosted at two occasions the 5 day long festivals but this time also invited other key players in the industry such as the online poker rooms and poker media. The outcome for all partners and players was a very positive experience.
Late 2015, the team behind Cash Game Festival decided to raise the stakes by creating an event serie across Europe. Cash Game Festival 2016 will be held 4 times in, 4 different countries across Europe with the next stops being Aspers Casino in London 30th of March – 3rd of April and Casino Malta in Malta 8th – 12th of June.
Throughout the festivals the poker players are presented with 24h poker games over 5 days at the stakes and game choice that they are requesting. For example at Aspers Casino we will have 40 tables running from £1-£1 to as high as players requests and one main character of the festival is that we are player friendly meaning that the rake across all stops are capped at maximum £10 or €10 depending on local currency.
Cash Game Festival also presents an opportunity for friends, family and poker fans to follow the action through not only media reporting in several languages but also live game streams available at partner sites or on medias like Twitch and youtube.
Maybe the best way to keep up to date with what is happening is through the facebook page fb.com/cashgamefestival players can also be kept up to date with activities and campaigns on how to participate through partner companies.
