Fourth day of successful streaming and high spirits
November 29, 2015Cash Game Festival 2016
February 1, 2016It was with mixed emotions we started day 5 knowing it was the final day of the last Cash Game Festival of 2015. Obviously we are happy for the great response and turnout we have had from our players, but also a bit sad that we are not running the festival for a few more days. But there is always the next event just around the corner where we can meet our cash game family again.
As most of our attendees and all our live stream viewers have heard throughout the week, the Cash Game Festival is coming back next year. Bigger and stronger and also on tour with London and the great Aspers Casino being our first stop in March. During June we are packing our bags to Malta. The third event is still a bit of a secret and will be announced as soon as possible, whilst our final event will take us back to Tallinn just about same time next year. New venues and new countries is something that really excites us when we look forward to 2016.
As always some players have to head back home after spending more than half a week with us, making Sunday a day of recap and relaxed games. Instead we decided to play the initial €2/€2 texas table the full evening and night. Just restarting it halfway through to count up the stacks and have a quick food break.
Live stream commentator Rauno got an evening off allowing him to join the fun and games. Unfortunately for him the night ended with a small loss. Not many had a great session and Mikkos 290bb profit put him down as the biggest winner. Enri Orav showed persistence sometimes pays off when buying in for over €1500 and finishing strong bringing home a small win. The not so lucky ones were Birger, Robert and Sergei from Estonia.
After 9 sessions on the feature table and loads of action in the casino room during 5 days of play, we were finally able to announce the winners of the Cash Game Festival in Tallinn 2015:
- Jouni Hietanen (Finland) in the 7-2 off suit challenge
- Eelis P. (Finland) for winning the most big blinds at the feature table
Huge congrats to both of the players from all of us involved and thank you to all others that came close and making it exciting all the way to the end. Jouni won his 200bb already on day 2, and so did actually Eelis P setting an extremely high benchmark to beat taking down 890bb in the €5/€10 omaha game. They will both be able to bring a friend along to London were they get accommodation for two nights in a double room from RankingHero and a gift bag from 888Poker.
Finally we want to say a massive thank you to all players attending and casino staff involved! Without you all this would not be possible and we look forward to building and growing our next year together with you. We also appreciate all the great feedback we get of things that can get better and hopefully we can bring you several improvements and new features in London.
Until then we wish you all a Merry Christmas in advance and a Happy New Year!
