William Kassouf like a boss, Jour 3 au CGF Londres
September 23, 2017Poker Live – Jour 4 au CGF Londres, Suédoises en table TV et de l’action!
September 24, 2017Day 4 here in London brought some early-hour cash game action to the city. There were still 9 tables running at 5 AM, and 4 when the sun came up. Something similar was repeated in the early hours of day 5 – at exactly 4.33 AM, there were 8 tables running at full speed. So, breakfast at poker tables was probably the most likely scenario in this situation.
Jokes asides, we must say that we are proud of our London stop. At 10 PM, just when some of the players were heading out to the VIP party, there were 21 tables running with 2 additional tables about to open. So, the number of tables peaked at 23 on day 4 here in London. At 1 AM, there were 15 tables still running which is a very welcome result at that hour. In London, we always get some early afternoon action as well; on average, 4-5 tables running already at around 2-3 PM.
Our first £1/£2 hold’em TV table welcomed 2 ladies, Laila Hawaszadeh and Linda Kinhult from Sweden.
After the end of the TV table session, we were lucky to have a nice chat with these absolutely lovely poker ladies. They were happy for the chance to try live cash games since it is often not so easy to do in Sweden due to local gambling laws. Moreover, they both work in the Swedish casino business, so they know their cards fairly well.
How they ended up at the Cash Game Festival in the first place? Turns out that they had intended to come to London for a tournament. They had already booked their flights and hotels when they found out that the tournament had been delayed for one week. Not overly excited about the delay, they decided to come to London anyway. Rather unexpectedly, they heard about the Cash Game Festival when already in the city, so the decision was made to come and see what the festival’s all about.
Linda, a tournament player, found the TV table experience challenging and fun at the same time. Not used to cash games, she quickly had to adjust to the new situation. She said it would be fun to share the recorded stream session with her friends later on, just for the laughs. Laila found her first encounter with the Cash Came Festival exciting and fun.
Both, Laila and Linda feel very strongly about poker girls. They applaud and welcome any lady who is serious about her game and knows her strategy. They almost feel it is their mission to break some persistent stereotypes of girls in poker. Laila told us that almost every time she sits down for a round of poker with men, the table gets real quiet first. But that the silence breaks when her table mates realize that she is there to enjoy a good poker experience just like everybody else.
The second £2/£5 hold’em TV table brought William Kassouf back with his fun-loving poker friend, Terry Jordon. Jokingly, William came back for a revenge against Terry. He was joking over the social media about Terry’s £5/£10 hold’em game:
“Haha! Well he dusted off £2k in the game last night whereas I finished about even. Tell him to bring his tools and £5k tonight for the £2-5 game as he’ll prob need 10 x £500 buyins to stand a chance! Weee! Lol“
They were both having fun during the £2/£5 hold’em TV table. However, William noted that he had enjoyed the £5/£10 hold’em session from the previous night more, since the players there had been more lively in terms of poker action and socializing. He still enjoyed his first Cash Game Festival experience very much and is looking forward to seeing the interview that he gave to us.
So, the second TV table session ended with a promise from William that he would try to come to our Tallinn stop which takes place at Olympic Park Casino on November 15-19. Despite his rather busy November tournament schedule, he is most probably able to squeeze Tallinn stop into his travel calendar. Welcome back, William!
If you were unable to come to our London stop at Aspers Casino, you don’t have to wait long for the next festival since Dublin stop is just around the corner. For the first time, we are heading to Dublin to play another 5 days of non-stop poker at the Village Green Card Club from October 11 to October 15. The registration for Dublin games is open HERE.
Let’s do day 5 now!
Yours,
Cash Game Festival Team
