Poker à Malte – Catamaran en open bar, Jour 2 CGF Malte
June 16, 2017Cash Game Festival Malte – Un dîner au sein de la brousse, Jour 3
June 17, 2017The second day at Cash Game Festival Malta stop started with a morning open-bar catamaran trip the Mediterranean Sea. What a way to start one’s day before heading to the poker table later in the evening. People were having wine and beer all day in the blazing sun, and some got a little sun burnt in the process. For example, our Maxime who needed to heal his wounds. Namely, his legs got quite burnt from all the fun on the sea. So, in addition to amazing catamaran ride footage, his day 2 CGF vlog will most likely feature him rubbing some lotion on his legs at the casino. Just wait and see. If you missed his day 1 CGF Malta vlog then no harm done, you can view it HERE.
In the early evening, tables started filling with players, TV table was on when, finally, Guts.com Ambassador, the Princess of Poker Silje Nilsen was suddenly in Casino Malta. She game in with team Guts, had some drinks served for her, and sat right down at a table to play. Maxime went to greet her at the table. They had a lovely fun-to-watch interaction with each other. For some (very good) reason, she chose to speak perfect French accent English with Max, which sounded awesome. Mind that she is a Norwegian. Something is telling us that you will see her in Maxime’s day 2 vlog. Stay tuned for his vlogs on our Youtube channel and our Facebook page.
At around 11:30 PM, Silje was still having some great action at the poker table. They were playing 4, 5, 6 card dealer’s choice Omaha. We went and asked for some poker quotes from her. “I’m too drunk to give quotes!” she said jokingly, laughing infectiously. Actually, she was just having great fun at the table, practising her French-accent English on the lucky lads around the table. According to her, she was having her “pre-party poker” and “pre-party drinks” before going out to town. Apparently, dealer’s choice can get you in the right mood for going out later at night.
On a serious note, Silje is from Trondheim, Norway, and has been playing poker for eight years. Namely, eight years ago, was the first time she ever tried the game. Initially, at least for a while, she played on pure luck according to her own words, before taking her game to the next level. Now she is a pro player, sponsored by Guts.com. The best of luck to you, Silje!
Our first Twitch TV table of the day was €1/€2 no-limit hold’em and featured a familiar face from Gibraltar stop – the player in Seat 8 was Hasan Alexander Anter from Sweden. Why do we know him so well? Well, he won World Series of Poker gold bracelet a few years ago. Welcome back!
The second TV table of the day went up to €2/€5 and featured some Unibet Poker Ambassadors. Unibet’s Espen Uhlen Joerstad from Norway was in seat 2, later joined by Unibet’s David Lappin who took the place of a player who decided to leave the TV table a little earlier.
We also had a Finnish qualifier in the house. Sami Kontio came to the Cash Game Festival via Guts.com promotion. According to him, he had fully enjoyed day 2 with the catamaran ride and the TV table. Later at night, he enjoyed the action in the poker room. Welcome, Finland!
The evening was successful with six tables running before midnight. Moreover, around 2 AM that night, the players witnessed the royal straight flush! It is rare. And it is beautiful. James Bond, anybody?
Last, but not least, Sviten Special poker game finally returned to the Cash Game Festival. At around 8 PM, €1/€1 Sviten table opened. Among other great players, the table featured Betsafe’s Michael and NordicBet’s Jostein. Thank you for holding on to the traditions of the Cash Game Festival.
Day 3 activity will be a dinner to remember. It will take place in a location kept in secret by Cash Game Festival Manager Andro Loos. He wants it to be a surprise for everyone. Hopes are high now, aren’t they?
Yours,
Cash Game Festival Team
