The Cash Game Festival in London Soon on 20th Sept – 24th Sept & Time to Register for Dublin Stop!
September 18, 2017Parties de cash game à Londres – CGF Jour 1 – Cinq jours de challenge!
September 21, 2017Here we are in London, back at Aspers Casino Stratford where it all began for us in terms of international poker travels. Day 1 was simply amazing – we already had many familiar faces coming to the festival. We also met new players form the Netherlands and Denmark – some of them had found the Cash Game Festival via social media – Facebook and Twitch – and had wanted to come and check out the festival for themselves. They seemed very happy to have done so, and after, for example the live TV table sessions, they were “hanging out”, chatting with Brandon Allen, our super dope Twitch commentator, other team members and /or with other players in Aspers poker room. As Luke Curtis (in the feature image) from UK said yesterday, “I managed to make only 50 £ profit today (edit: we all have those poker days) but could play for hours and meet new people. That’s what it’s all about!” He is right – sometimes it is all about that community feeling as much as it is about poker.
Talking about the community feeling at the Cash Game Festival, our Twitch channel also helps building it. Quite a few players come to the festival after discovering our festival-time Twitch shows. For example, Jeffrey Lanser from the Netherlands came to the Cash Game Festival because he saw the Cash Game Festival Twitch show broadcasted from Malta. After that he kept watching the live streams whenever we had a new festival. And when he heard about the London stop, he decided to come to the live festival because the city is close to the Netherlands. Jeffrey loves Brandon’s commentary, saying that he is very well suited for the job. “He can take trolling well!”, Jeffrey said about Brandon.
Day 1 in London was also successful in terms of poker. The night saw 16 simultaneously running poker tables which tied the festival’s record of the most poker tables on the opening day. It is a good start and we are eagerly expecting day 2 to fill even more tables. The Cash Game Festival also offers high-stakes poker games, so there is something for everyone. Simply come to the casino and ask to be seated at a suitable table if you have not preregistered to the games via our website‘s “register now” button.
Play poker with us at Aspers and you can win your ticket to our next stop in Dublin, Ireland on Oct 11th – 15th,taking place in the unique Village Green Card Club which is the first poker only poker room in Ireland. This time, the challenge is called the Cash Game Festival High Hand Game. All you need is to hit high hand 4 of a kind or better, and you will receive a draw ticket in the poker room. You can get more information about the high hand game at the casino. Below are the rules of the challenge.

- WINNERS ARE NOT ABLE TO TRANSFER OR SELL THE PACKAGE
- DRAWS WILL TAKE PLACE THURSDAY AT 9 PM & SUNDAY AT 2 PM

Moreover, our 6 PM London hospitality package giveaway found the lucky winner at table 29 in seat 3. The lucky gentleman from London, Alexandros Alexandrakis, won a full package worth 400 EUR for him and his friend, and is now able to take part in the side activities here in London. This week’s social activities include golf, fancy dinner, the VIP party and a guided tour of London with a visit to a hidden secret pub for some beers. Congratulations!
For the first time in Cash Game Festival history, the biggest winner of all our TV table sessions will win our TV table trophy. The trophy comes with a lovely surprise as one lucky player will also be awarded with the hospitality package for two for our Dublin stop. How do we find the winner? The winners will be a player with the most big blinds during all TV table sessions here in London. So, we can announce the lucky winner on Sunday night after the last TV table session. On day 1, Gareth Devereux was the biggest winner in terms of big blinds after the first session. However, when the stakes moved up to 2 / 5 PLO during the second session, we had a new winner of day 1. A player John Ventre made a huge profit of £2,523. This amounts to 504.6 big blinds which places him in the lead of the contest. Good luck!
Moreover, Aspers Casino is making special promotions during the Cash Game Festival. There is the lucky wheel challenge, the speed table challenge and the Jackpot challenge. We will keep you informed of the challenges via our Facebook and Twitter, so stay tuned to our channels. Of course, when you are at the casino, the staff and the team is happy to personally explain the rules of these exciting ventures.
Together, we can make London great again. We would like to thank our super supporters Betsson, Betsafe, NordicBet, Europebet and Bets10 for being here with us!
Yours,
Cash Game Festival Team
