Fête du poker, c’est le week end! | Cash Game Festival
November 19, 2017Poker en Europe, CGF Tallinn – Recap’ Dimanche et en Janvier Londres
November 24, 2017Here we are again! The most wonderful Tallinn stop is now behind us and we will spend lovely family-centered holidays before hitting the road, taking good cash games to different parts of Europe. How was the last day of the festival? And what will be our first poker stop in 2018? Read up!
Earlier on Sunday, some were a little more quiet than usual. No wonder – the Saturday’s VIP party and the all-nighter in the poker room had left its mark on even the bravest of the individuals. However, many expressed their deep satisfaction with the previous night. Indeed, it was a wonderful night. We had a private VIP area booked for the Cash Game Festival crowd in Vabank Night Club in the Old Town area of Tallinn, loads of drinks and even more dancing and socializing. The players who had been “stuck” at the later feature table, joined the group a little later. After the party, many returned to the casino for a night of cash games. Good times!
Despite the Saturday night adventures, some of the people were brave enough to make it to Sunday’s hospitality event in the early afternoon. Basically, the Cash Game Festival project manager Andro Loos had decided to lock the players up in the Escape Room and see who would get out first. There were winners, of course. But there were also some losers. All in all, everybody made it back to the casino on time and had enjoyed the activity very much.
The first TV table was €5/€5 hold’em, featuring Ireland’s Kevin Malone and NordicBet player, Norway’s Jon Kyte. These men had previously won the Cash Game Festival TV table trophies – Jon in London and Kevin in Dublin. So, the friendly battle – Ireland v Norway – was on as they were both hoping to outperform each other and maybe even get another trophy. Not surpassing day 1 record of big blinds won, Malone still managed to be the biggest winner (€1165 or 235 big blinds) at this feature table, beating Jon, who was the second biggest winner (€1130 or 226 big blinds), with €35. 10 points to Ireland!
The later TV table was €5/€5 Omaha and saw Kevin and Jon back in action again. Seems that Jon really wanted that “piece of 35-euro pie”. However, this time, the biggest pie went to Estonia’s Rain Jögioja in seat #1. Rain was back at the feature table for the second time at given Tallinn festival. This time, he really made an impressive come back, shipping the profit of €4860 or 972 big blinds. A significant result but not enough to get him the trophy.
Right after the final feature table, we finally had the honor of handing out our 3rd TV table trophy in 2017. The trophy goes to a player who wins the most big blinds during one of the live TV table sessions; we have 10 such sessions per each festival. This time, the trophy remained in Estonia. The proud winner was Estonia’s Heiti Riisberg, a business man and a self-described recreational poker player. Heiti set the bar very high on day 1 with €3364 or 1682 big blinds won at Wednesday’s €2/€2 hold’em feature table. Many tried to beat the result but could not. Congratulations, Heiti!
At night, we also held the final draw for Cash Game Festival’s very own London packages. Two additional players will get to enjoy poker the Cash Game Festival style. The most happy and emotional “winning” was done by Master Soi from Norway. Having learned of his good fortune, he sent us a message of love and magic. Wink, wink. Happy to have made your Sunday night so much better, Master. Welcome to London!
As you can see, we had such a great time in Tallinn and for that, we really need to thank our Partners as well. Thank you, Olympic Park Casino, for being such a wonderful host! Our players loved the atmosphere and the services. Thank you, Betsson, Betsafe, NordicBet, Bets10 & Europebet, for wonderful 2017. Thank you, Coolbet, for jumping on board and bringing your Cool to Tallinn stop. Can’t wait till you launch poker!
We would also like to welcome new members to our cuddly Partner family. Welcome to the Cash Game Festival 2018 season, 32Red! They are a British online brand, bringing a wide variety of fun game AND POKER, to UK players. Their Poker Manager Nick Diaz visited Tallinn stop and was very pleased with the live event.
London Again!
It is not a secret anymore that year 2018 will see us in London again. The first stop of the season will take place on January 3rd-7th at Aspers Casino Stratford. The UK’s capital is the mecca of cash games, so we want to be there. You will not be disappointed as we will offer good games with various buy-ins and stakes. You do not have to be a professional or a hard-core player to enjoy the festival. Of course, you can be. There are no limits, really.
Please note that the registration for London stop games and TV tables is already open. Simply click here and register! You will hear back from us.
Love,
