Viktoria Lundberg – From a Casino Dealer to SlotsMillion’s Own Player. Overnight!!
March 8, 2017Nova Gorica, nous voilà ! Jour 1, CGF en Slovénie !
March 9, 2017
The Cash Game Festival here in Perla Casino, Nova Gorica has begun! The weather is perfect and warm. Coffee is decent & the local wine excellent. In one case, the wine we tested was produced from grapes harvested only 2 kilometers from the restaurant. A truly LOCAL experience! This is the aim of the Cash Game Festival – to give our players the chance to play 24/7 cash games in various local contexts.
Another thing we have noticed is that Slovenian people are very friendly and helpful. Learn a few words in Slovenian, for example Hvala! (Thank you!), and you earn even wider smile together with a nod of appreciation from your new friend. Moreover, people here speak good English; even Italian due to the proximity to the Italian border. In fact, many Perla Casino regulars are Italians.
On our opening day, we already greeted some familiar faces from our previous festivals. We are still expecting some players from London to arrive. They could just not make it here on the first day.
Our ever-evolving Cash Game festival team has grown even bigger this time. For example, we are honored by the presence of Viktoria aka My Little Slots from Stocholm, Sweden. She is the ambassador of our Partner Slotsmillion here at the festival. So far, she has been running around, vlogging all day and writing her blog, making everybody smile.
Viktoria is an amazing woman. She plays poker (also loves her little slots) and is a freelance casino dealer in Stocholm. She has been in the industry for 12 years with 8 of them being a poker dealer. Namely, she started out as a Black Jack dealer.
On the opening day Viktoria played at our TV table together with the Cash Game Festival’s founder Franke. Later, she joined our star commentator Brandon Allen in his commentator’s booth to entertain our Twitch viewers. What a busy day for her.
The second Twitch stream featured a 50-euro giveaway by Slotsmillion. This giveaway is on every night. Watch the live stream in order to find out how you can win it. Good luck!
Our first TV table featured a known player Alexiou Kostas from Greece. His claim to fame happened in 2008 when he became 4th in the 2008 EPT Prague Main Event, winning €199,000.
Peter La Terra from Sweden was the biggest winner of the first TV table. Congratulations! At the same time in the Poker Room, our own Maxime Roseau lost €300 after a good grind, thrown back to where he started. “Easy Come, Easy Go.”, as Pokernews.com put it. You can read more about this particular grind HERE.
Again, like at the London festival, the night wasn’t fully over without a good round of Sviten Special, also known as Drawmaha. Apparently, this game makes you a super human because Brandon Allen played it at night, waking up bright and early the next day. Another theory is that he never went to bed last night. Who knows … If you became interested in this game, you can read more about Sviten Special HERE.
The International Women’s Day ended well for the Cash Game Festival team’s ladies. Namely, Scandinavian Hunks were in the house that night. The party took off.
The festival’s second day will be fun because the players with our hospitality package will get a chance to visit Soca Fun Park. We have some activities planned for each festival day. More about our daily activities in our upcoming blogs. Stay tuned.
Yours,
Cash Game Festival Team
