October 28, 2017Bons restaurants à Tallinn – Les favoris du Cash Game Festival
October 31, 2017We love poker. That is so true. But what is poker on an empty stomach? Not as good as poker with a happy full belly. Therefore, we make sure to find restaurants that offer reasonably priced quality meals that will not leave you hungry. In Tallinn, we have some favorite restaurants that we would like to recommend to you as well. So that while in the capital of Estonia, you can take a break and have a nice meal off the felt. Also, for those of you traveling with a non-poker partner, knowing some nice restaurants outside the casino is essential. Understandably, you wish to offer them something special on your poker holiday.
Salt
Salt is small restaurant in the lovely and green Tallinn area called Kadriorg. The restaurant features cozy atmosphere and displays an open kitchen. They offer what they like to call the progressive social food experience and some extreme fusion cuisine that will get your taste buds buzzing. Their professional team will take good care of you and will help you choose the right wine to go with your meal. Their Chef Vladimir Proskurnin’s mission is to get the guests “moaning of pleasure after a meal”. Not a hard task if the restaurant is offering world classics made of local fresh seasonal ingredients. Moreover, the pleasure is guaranteed when these freshly made classics are combined in exciting and unexpected ways – all about that progressive food experience. Do not expect a fixed menu as their selection is changing weekly and is reflecting the seasons. For the exact location and their opening times, it is best to visit their Facebook page by clicking HERE. Visit, be surprised and enjoy!
7Ürti
If you desire to have a mixture of Mediterranean and Scandinavian cuisine while in Tallinn, 7Ürti could be the place for you. The restaurant is using fresh seasonal ingredients and their food, surprise, surprise, is reflecting the seasons. In this moody Nordic climate, it is best to keep the food selection as varied as possible, since the changing seasons do make a difference in people’s food choices. In the winter, we desire something warm and nutritious. In the summer, on the other hand, they key to our hearts is via fresh and light foods. Therefore, keeping the seasons in mind, 7Ürti’s menu is changing throughout the year. So, it is best to visit the restaurant and be surprised by their late autumn selection which, for sure, is warming, hearty and rich – exactly what you need in this cold and sometimes wet November weather. 7Ürti is offering lovely desserts as well. However, they do not have a fixed dessert menu. All the sweet delights are displayed right in front of your eyes at the counter. Simply choose and enjoy! Toit’s
At Toit’s, the keywords are fresh, simple and delicious. Namely, they believe in the power of simplicity when it comes to food choices. What a nice philosophy! Don’t we just all need more good and simple things in our lives from time to time. Moreover, they prepare their food with a nice dose of passion. It really shows – food always tastes better when there are warm feelings in the kitchen.
In addition to lovely food choices, the restaurant’s mission is to provide friendly service and reasonable meal pricing.
Even nicer is the fact that Toit’s is also serving breakfast. So, if you would like to go out for your morning meal and fancy trying some local flavors then Toit’s is a good place to start your day in Tallinn. There, you can taste the Estonia’s favorite breakfast kaerahelbepder or oat meal in English. Or simply settle for an omelette, or even better, for an Estonian-style breakfast sandwich with eggs and smoked bacon that will go very well with a cup of strong black coffee – the way the Estonians love their coffee best. In case you are feeling a little cold and it is almost time for lunch, try their creamy minestrone soup with grilled salmon. In their menu, you will also find hearty pasta dishes, grilled and oven-baked foods, lunch sandwiches, pizza and, of course, burgers. All fresh, simple and tasty.
For the exact location and opening times, it is best to visit their Facebook page by clicking HERE. Do note that the restaurant has two locations in Tallinn, the one on the address of Tartu mnt 7 being closer to the Olympic Park Casino.
We are hoping that these suggestions make your stay in Tallinn even more pleasant. Moreover, if you find a nice “hidden treasure” restaurant in Tallinn, please let us know as we will then suggest it to the fellow players as well.
Happy culinary poker travels for all of you!
Yours,
