Festival poker international : 17 nationalités sont au CGF Tallinn
November 10, 2017Le Cash Game Festival Tallinn Démarre Bientôt!
November 13, 2017We are super happy to announce that the Cash Game Festival Tallinn stop is just two days away. The live event will start with welcome drinks at 5 PM on Wednesday, November 15th at the super glam Olympic Park Casino right at the heart of the capital of Estonia. This means that the 5-day 24/7 poker madness is about to begin very soon. Are you ready? The festival will last till the early hours of Monday morning, November 20th. We are expecting some excellent over-night grinding and some great rounds of Sviten Special, the best poker game in the world.
The weather here in Tallinn is quite typical for this time of the year – rather cloudy and rainy. But the good news is that the temperature is above zero, so you probably won’t need your heaviest winter jacket. Besides, the casino is so comfortable that you can simply forget about the moody late autumn weather and concentrate on your game and having FUN! And fun you will have because the Cash Game Festival hospitality package events will provide the extra boost that you need at a proper poker festival. However, we will not reveal the activities; we are certain that you like to be surprised.
As you already know, we will be hosting players from 17 different nations. This number reflects the players who have officially registered with us. In reality, many more nations will be represented at the festival according to our latest communications with some of you. So, we are expecting the total number of nationalities to be me more like 25. Why not 30? It’s possible as over the past few years, we have made a lot of good friends while touring in different parts of Europe.
Reflecting on the past few years, we must say that we are super proud of how far we have come. What started as a local cash game poker festival in Tallinn in year 2014, has now become a rapidly growing European-wide poker event. After the impressive number of flight miles covered and casino floors walked, we can say that year 2017 has taken us to the next level. With 9 stops this year and more stops to come in 2018, there’s only one thing left to do – to work even harder to make the great festival happen for you guys. We could not have done it without you, our dear friends and players. We are also super proud to be working with our beloved Partner Betsson who believes in us and is giving all the support to help us grow even further. We would also like to welcome Coolbet to the Cash Game Festival family!
In addition to being an international venue for poker lovers, the Cash Game Festival has also become a battle ground. Of course, the battle will be a friendly one. Namely, at each festival, we are awarding the biggest winner of all 10 live feature table sessions with our TV table trophy (the trophy will come with the CGF hospitality package for 2 at the next stop). The trophy will go to a player who manages to win the most big blinds during TV table games. The winner will be announced on Sunday night after the last live session. As we saw in London and Dublin, the Sunday night TV table can be a game changer.
In London, during our September festival, the very first trophy went to NordicBet player Jon Kyte from Bergen, Norway. He shipped the trophy with 853 big blinds in £2-5£ hold’em. Jon, a good player and a super nice guy, is a poker club owner and a marketing student. He cannot wait for our Tallinn festival to begin already! In Dublin, during our October festival, the trophy went to a Dubliner Kevin Malone with an impressive number of big blinds – 867,5 in €1-€2 Omaha. Kevin loves cash games and the social aspect of poker, the comradery at live poker events as he puts it. Always up for a good chat with some Guinness, the Irish construction company owner promised to test some local beers while in Estonia. Both of these great players will be in Tallinn to go for the trophy once more. They’re going to “battle” at €5/€5 hold’em table on the last day of the festival on Sunday, November 19th. The stream will start at 6 PM Estonian time. Good luck, guys!
So, what’s it going to be? Kevin v Jon, Norway v Ireland. Or, maybe this time, the trophy will remain in Estonia. To find out, you need to stay tuned to our Twitch channel where the game will be broadcasted live twice a day, at 6 PM & 9 PM Estonian time during the 5-day festival. If there are any deviations from the usual streaming schedule, we will let you know via Facebook and Twitter.
Stay warm and get ready for Tallinn where we are going to play unlimited amount of poker – any poker variation available and with various stakes for any level of players!
Love,
Cash Game Festival Team
