Recap’ du Day 4 Cash Game Festival Malte
June 12, 2016Cash Game Festival Malta – Jour 5
June 15, 2016Sunday and the final day of Cash Game Festival Malta is over and it’s time to summarize the last day in both text and pictures. A recap of the whole week will be published later on this week and interviews thru out the whole summer as well.
For Sunday the player’s activity was set to a guided tour in Valletta but before that it was time to kick of the first table of the day; NL Hold’em 1/2 on the feature table. We had a great line-up for this one including the Norwegian crazy dude “Mr. Lovemaker” alongside the one and only Pekka from Finland. Well, actually he’s not the only Pekka from Finland I guess but for this event that’s the case at least. Also joining the table, we had Brendon and Tom Hutchinson alongside local professional Mark Vella. A good show took place and we saw some nice hands for the viewers to talk about in the future.
At three we gathered some players and took them to the heart of Malta; Valletta. The guide for this tour was the big boss, Franke! If you ask the participants for this event how it was they probably won’t hear what you say since Franke’s laugh most likely still echoes in their head. A more fun and sick person is hard to find and I think that is the opinion on everyone involved.
During the day the Euro 16’ continued and of course we showed the games on all screens, including the big one, at the venue. We got to see a Croatian win over Turkey, Poland beating Northern Ireland and Germany winning by 2-0 against Ukraine thanks to a late goal by the one and only Bastian Schweinsteiger. Perfect with some high quality games both on the tables and the screens.
Speaking of high quality games two of the Swedes learnt a new one thru one of the Italian dealer. I actually don’t think there is a name for it but basically you get eight cards, pre flop you make three different hands (one Omaha hand and two Texas hands) and then there is three flops where you decide to put the three hands based on the flop. After that we have same procedure as usual with a turn and river on each board and then it’s time for the showdown. A sick game for a degenerate generation I can tell. Got to join in myself for a couple of hands but Mr Sebastian “I run so bad since I would have been up so more if the stakes only where higher” Blom was impossible to beat. Of course, didn’t expect anything else.
Beside that we also had a big 5 card PLO game running throughout the night and players seemed to enjoy themselves for as long as possible this day. The organisation also did a pop by the final TV-stream to have a massive group photo ending it all. Well the final TV-table of the week was a show itself I can tell you.
The one and only Pekka returned, we got the see the beautiful Josephine playing alongside her boyfriend Michel, we got to see Alexandre out of Slotsmillion along Maret from the same company. Besides them we had a couple of more players playing on what could be the funniest table during the whole festival.
Now it is time to catch the connection flight in Barcelona and soon I’ll be back in Stockholm again. That’s when the real work begins going thru what went well and what to improve for the next stop. Players participated during the week; feel free to feedback us in both good and bad ways on what you wanna see for the next stop.
Yeah hey, I almost forgot! We had the high hand jackpot going out on Sunday winning a free €1,000 package for Bulgaria. The winner with a 7 high straight flush was Mr. Andrejs Galkins. See you in Bulgaria buddy, make sure to bring your friend along!
Until the middle of the week,
