Cash Game Festival Malta – Day 3

Halfway thru the festival on Malta the fun has just begun. It’s Friday night and for what it seems the tables will be running late – probably not even close at all. And this after a day with a lot of fun happenings and a major sun burn for myself.
The day began early in the morning when around 40 persons including partner players, partners themselves, some VIP’s and personnel left Sliema Harbour on the Tip Top One catamaran for 6 hours of intense sunbathing. The destination was set to Crystal Lagoon and surely the participants wasn’t disappointed. Already on the way there we saw some cool dolphins playing around in the ocean and I feel bad for those missing out on the event.
When arriving to the lagoon everyone was jumping in the water for a swim and the most of the friends also catched a speed boat actually going into the caves and looking around – it was massive. Swim, sun, salt water and open bar, what else for a poker player to have? Well it could be that it all was live streamed by Rikard from Pokertube and had 5000+ viewers in ten minutes. Amazing, isn’t it?
The catamaran arrived back at harbour around 3:30PM and some of the players at the boat planned to participate in the crazy live streamed table at 5:30PM. And yeah, for sure it turned out to be a crazy live table. First five hand one guy went all in in the dark, they where playing 1500 euro pots on 1/2 (!) and everyone had such a blast attending the twitch stream online. Later during the night we had the first dealers choice running including not only PLO and Texas but also the fun three card game Crazy Pineapple. In that game you actually have three card, play it like Texas with the difference that you must throw away one card before the turn is shown. Crazy is the least it is.
Final stream of the evening where another fun 1/2 Texas with some newcommers attending. Always fun to see new and familiar faces meet each other under these fun circumstances. Simultaneously as the stream was going it was time to kick of the Euro’16 with a game between hosting nation France and Romania. The French ended up a great 2-1 win after a stunning goal by Payet late in the game. Good start for them and tomorrow England will enter the tournament aswell. Let see if Vardy is as good as he’s been during the season for Leicester. Hopefully there will be this much and even more people watching all the games at casino screens tomorrow!
The VIP party also took place after midnight at Beduin Lounge. A lot of people will have some blurry memories for tomorrow but that is included in a trip like this. Speaking about tomorrow, here’s the plans for Saturday.
We start the day of with a fresh streamed Texas table at 12:30 and continue after that with a pool party on the roof top pool at players hotel. This will be nice and stop by for a drink if you can. Later on we have a couple of more streams going on and I believe the main event for tomorrow also will be the 5:30PM stream. Also, during the evening, we will host a dinner for the partner players and some of our friends. Wanna come? Stop by and see if there is a seat open for you.
