Cash Game Festival Tallinn : c’est repartit! Quelle nuit!
November 16, 2017Poker et Art – CGF Tallinn Jour 2 – Photos exclusives, poker et plus …
November 17, 2017Day 1 here at the Cash Game Festival in Tallinn sneakily turned into day 2. In the morning, some tables were still running from the previous night, so it was hard to say when exactly day 1 had ended and day 2 started. Well, that is 24/7 poker. Play any time you want and relax any time you want. Or … make ART any time you like. Yes, we went to an art class yesterday – only at the Cash Game Festival.
So, an unusually large and happy group of people left the casino at 5 PM to go to the Cash Game Festival’s side activity. Namely, via our hospitality package, we treated our players and Partner qualifiers to an afternoon art class. The class came with a twist, of course. They had to learn to paint a human body. The best way of getting the proportions and shapes right is to paint real models. The task at yesterday’s art class was to learn to paint nude models as clothing distracts from studying the correct forms and proportions. Yes, there was some giggling at first. However, soon enough, everybody was focused on their painting, taking the task quite seriously. After the session, the players returned to the casino with their paintings, super happy and refreshed by art. We would like to thank the wonderful teacher and the super brave models for the memorable experience!!!
TV Table Talk
The first €2/€2 hold’em TV table was joined by Coolbet‘s player Joel Lindpere, an Estonian football star, a former professional footballer and now a football coach, in seat #1. Having played for New York Red Bulls and Chicago Fire, he does not need much introduction in Estonia. Among other seasoned Cash Game Festival players, we had the Netherland’s Jeffrey in seat #2, UK’s Ryan in seat #7 and Norway’s and NordicBet player Master Soy in seat #5. We also welcomed Beth from UK in seat #8. She will also be playing on our today’s ladies’ special TV table. Can’t wait for the all-girl poker action as we have some good players, such as Betsafe‘s Monika, in the house tonight.
The second €5/€5 PLO TV table’s seat #4 welcomed our trophy winner, Ireland’s Kevin Malone, back to the Cash Game Festival family. He flew all the way from Dublin to Tallinn to play good social cash games & potentially claim the TV table trophy once more. Unfortunately, this time, he was not able to beat yesterday’s results – 1682 big blinds won by Estonia’s Heiti Riisberg. Kevin will still have his chance on Sunday when he will be sharing the table with NordicBet’s Jon Kyte, also our TV table trophy winner. Good luck, guys!
Finland’s Lasse Kekoniemi was the biggest TV table winner of day 2, shipping the profit of €1518. However, he did not manage to beat Heiti Riisberg’s impressive big blinds won. Encouraged by the nice profit, Lasse will be back for more.
Cash Game Festival Getting Healthy!?
There’s something we have recently noticed at the Cash Game Festival live events. There is more and more health and wellness talk among players. Is it the fact that our society has become more health-conscious over time? Or does the festival simply attract people who like taking care of their body and mind? Either way, it is a welcome tendency.
It all started with Latvia’s Mr Vilson’s herbal tea suggestions in Bulgaria. Our team member Maxime took his suggestions very seriously and is now testing different formulas. On day 1 in Tallinn, there was some talk of water fasting, meditation and fitness. On day 2, a conversation with Coolbet’s Poker Manager Thomas Pasgaard Hviid led to Estonians and their belief in garlic as the cure for all diseases. Thomas who is from Denmark, has lived in Tallinn already for 10 years. Not only has he learned to speak Estonian, but he has also taken up the Estonian garlic habit – every time you feel like you are coming down with the flu, chew some raw garlic. Extreme!
As Jeffrey from the Netherlands put it, the Cash Game Festival Tallinn stop looks like a big friendly home game. Needless to say that this kind of atmosphere encourages off the felt communication on all sorts of topics. Rather fun, isn’t it?
Love,
Cash Game Festival Team
