5 Reasons for a Poker Vacation in Bratislava
March 30, 2018Full House in Bratislava – Poker Vacation with the Cash Game Festival
April 6, 2018We are now in Bratislava! The Cash Game Festival begun yesterday with positive vibes, the opening drinks being served at 5 PM here at the lovely Banco Casino Bratislava. What to expect from Bratislava stop? Beer and poker! We are not going to do any sports during our hospitality events this time. This week, beer and poker are going to have to do the trick because this is the true POKER VACATION!
When on a poker and beer vacation, one expects to have a little off the felt fun here and there. So, we have selected some activities for you that will certainly take your mind off cards and chips for a while. Cash Game Festival Bratislava hospitality events include fancy dinner, VIP party – There will be bunnies! -, an epic wine tour with MPN Poker Tour – in a winery that is about 80 km from the city – and a relaxed Sunday tour of Bratislava with the drink selection of coffee, tea or BEER. Our festival tends to attract super nice and smart players from all across Europe, so expect to have a super pleasant time socializing during these events.
TV Table 1
Shortly after the opening drinks, the first TV table here in Bratislava was kicked off. The live €1/€2 hold’em session was commented by the fantastic duo of Henry Kilbane and George Sandford from UK. Having first found the Cash Game Festival via Facebook, the professional player Henry became curious about us. Long story short, he came to play with us, eventually got George on board in London, and now they are part of the team, doing fantastic job in our Twitch commentary booth. Tune in to our Twitch channell to see live broadcasts during the festival – 6 PM and 9 PM Slovakia time.
Unibet Poker Ambassador and The Chip Race podcast’s co-host David Lappin from Ireland aced the live game in seat #6, being the biggest winner of the live session. He enjoyed his first Cash Game Festival very much, playing well, meeting people etc. Later at night, he was watching the recording of his TV table game. His Tweet says it all:
“Just watched back a little of last night’s @CashFestival Bratislava Hold em action! Two observations: 1. I’m a luckbox. 2. The future is bright with smart and articulate young lads like @HenryKilbane + @sandfordddd in the commentary booth.”
TV table 2
Who won the most cash, everybody would like to know, of course. Wink-wink! The Italian player Luca Sebastiani got the honor by making the most profit during the €2/€5 hold’em session. That’s explains his big smiles at night. Congratulations, Luca! Fair game, nice hands.
Among many other familiar faces, Bratislava stop also sees Norway’s Jon Kyte returning to the Cash Game Festival’s poker scene by playing at the second feature table. Jon is no other than the official record holder of the Cash Game Festival, “winning the most the most money at the most feature tables throughout all Cash Game Festivals” as Pokernews‘ Jason Glatzer put it. How about some poker and beer later?
Sviten Special
As you all already know, there is no Cash Game Festival without Sviten Special, also known as Drawmaha, or as the greatest poker game ever invented. On day 1 here in Bratislava, the first Sviten table was kicked off by Andro Loos, Peter La Terra, Ivelin Ganev, and Christoph Rueegg.
If you have not played it before, Sviten is a split pot game, a mix of five card draw and pot-limit Omaha. If you want to learn more about the poker variation, please watch the Cash Game Festival’ very own tutorial of the the game.
Wishing you the best poker vacation here in Bratislava!
