Despite the semi finals, we still managed to get some decent poker action going in the Aspers’ Stratford poker room while the lounge next to the poker room was filled with football crowd. Seemed like to whole casino had turned into a giant sports bar with endless flow of ice cold Heineken. What a night it was!
So, how did we launch the festival this time? With Heineken, of course, around 5.30 PM. It would have been real weird offering champagne when everyone else was watching football and drinking beer.
Shortly after the welcome, the first TV tables started. It was £2/£2 hold’em commented by PokerNews’ Jason Glatzer with British Henry Kilbane and George Sandford. All three are passionate about poker offering their insightful comments for the TV action.
Zlatan Cizmic, despite joining the hold’em table later, was the biggest winner of the first TV table, making a profit of £470 or 235 big blinds.
After the football match was over, the second TV table table began. It was time for £2/£2 Omaha. The stream offered a ton of action due to the nature of the game. Is it a surprise to anyone that Cash Game Festival co-founder Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk made a tidy profit of £1,500 or 750 big blinds. That puts him in the lead for his second TV table trophy. The first one he won in Bratislava in April. Come on, Franke! We know that you have the best poker face but do you really want to take this trophy back to Tallinn, adding pounds to your luggage? 😉
Let’s keep London rolling!
Poker love <3
